Maybe you’re getting married or you’re hoping to get married this year! You’re looking for some inspiration, but are finding it difficult to get started. Don’t worry! I’ve done the hard work for you. I’ve found the 7 top wedding trends when it comes to getting married in 2019 – that you can actually use – and grouped them together here for you.

1. Colour of the Year

2019 is the year of Living Coral – at least it is according to Pantone! Pantone describes Living Coral (16-1546) as “An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.” What’s more Pantone provides lots of useful tools to help you use the colour, whether that’s in your wedding stationery, website or cosmetics.

2. Experiential

From custom favours like succulents, to a custom scent for your wedding (it was good enough for Harry and Meghan) to providing your guests with a cigar bar, and from glitter bars to glam bars and smokebomb exits, weddings in 2019 will be all about how your guests experience and remember your wedding. 3. Velvet

The days of burlap are over. Instead, velvet – not something that immediately springs to mind as a classic wedding fabric, but is perfect for that luxurious, warm and classy feeling, and ideal for those Fall and Winter weddings.

4. Florals

Flowers never really went away, but in 2019 they’re everywhere! From living botanicals to pampas grass, to dried flowers, hanging florals, and structured arches, be prepared to see LOTS of flowers. The common thread? The more natural and organic the better!

5. Metallics

Gold is no longer number one. Expect to see copper, silver and chrome, but gold and rose gold will be less popular than in past years.

6. Personal touch

From spatula-painted cakes, to signs, writing your own ceremony, to custom decorations, food bars and bespoke attire, weddings in 2019 will become more and more personalised as couples seek to make their special day as unique as possible. Don’t forget, personalised doesn’t have to mean expensive but also doesn’t have to mean poor quality.

7. Green weddings

With increased concern for our planet’s well-being expect to see more environmentally sustainable, ethically sourced, plastic-free weddings.

But no matter what may be trending the year you get married, don’t do something just because it’s in style! I would love to talk with you about what you want your wedding to look like and how I can help.
